Mobile Application Privacy

In addition to our website, Dentiz operates a mobile application available on iOS and Android platforms ("the App"). When you use the Dentiz mobile application, we collect additional information necessary to provide you with enhanced dental care management services.

Personal and Health Information Collected Through the App

When you register and use the Dentiz mobile application, we collect and process the following categories of information:

  • Account Information: Full name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and password (securely encrypted)
  • Dental Health Data: Appointment schedules, treatment history, dental practice information, and invoice records
  • Communications: Messages exchanged between you and your dental practice through the in-app chat feature
  • Authentication Data: If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we collect your name, email, and unique identifier from those services
Device Permissions and Technical Data

To provide full functionality of the App, we may request access to certain device features. You can control these permissions through your device settings at any time:

  • Camera Access: Used exclusively for scanning QR codes provided by your dental practice during registration. No photos are stored or transmitted.
  • Microphone Access: Used only when you choose to use voice-to-text input for chat messages. Audio is processed on-device and not stored.
  • Speech Recognition: Converts your voice into text messages when you use the voice input feature in chat.
  • Push Notifications: We collect a unique device token (Firebase Cloud Messaging token) to send you appointment reminders, practice messages, and other important notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
  • Device Information: We automatically collect device type, operating system version, app version, and unique device identifiers for technical support, security, and service improvement purposes.
Third-Party Services in the Mobile App

The Dentiz mobile application integrates with the following third-party services to provide enhanced functionality:

  • Firebase (Google): Used for push notifications, app analytics, and crash reporting. Firebase may collect device information and app usage data. View Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy
  • Google Sign-In: If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not access your other Google account data.
  • Sign in with Apple: If you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address (or a private relay email) from Apple. We comply with Apple's privacy requirements.
Data Security in the Mobile App

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information in the mobile application:

  • All data transmission between the app and our servers is encrypted using SSL/TLS protocols
  • Authentication credentials are stored securely on your device using encrypted storage
  • We do not store credit card information in the mobile app
  • Access to your health information requires authentication
  • You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting your dental practice or emailing dp@dentiz.com

Children's Privacy and the Mobile App
